After the earthquakes that struck in Nepal in the spring of 2015, the fertile lowland for crop production begins to shrink due to increase in construction activities in this area. On the flip side, traditional cereal-based cropping patterns have been slowly replaced by off-season vegetable farming and afforestation rate has beenan increase in the upland area.
